My Space: The Lion King’s Syndee Winters Keeps Her Sinus Clean and Visits with Fuzzy Friends Backstage

As Nala in the national tour of The Lion King, Syndee Winters gets to fight evil hyenas for her homeland and sing the iconic love song “Can You Feel The Love Tonight?” When she isn’t roaming the Pridelands, Winters takes refuge backstage for some much needed relaxation. Winters showed off her favorite dressing room items for; take a look!

“While I’m on the road, traveling from city to city, there are a lot of different climates and allergens flying around, so I have to keep myself healthy and performance ready. I bring along my personal version of a first aid kit: neti pot, organic, unfiltered apple cider vinegar, local honey, liquid B-12 vitamin, oil of oregano, Emergen-C packets, chlorophyll and herbal tea.”

“On every dressing room counter in every theater I go to, I have to have my companions who have been with me ever since I began this journey. I had my castmates autograph these plush toys; they keep me comfy in every city.”

“My iPod! I listen to music almost every minute of the day. I have my playlist that helps me get pumped up for the show. I don't know what I would do without it.”

“Of the things that I can't live without in my space, I definitely count Jelani Remy. He plays Simba and he is so hot!”

“I travel with my own teakettle. 'nough said.”
