Don't Cry! National Tour of Evita Brings Star Quality to Miami

Get your tango shoes on, because the national tour of Evita opens in Miami on May 27. The Tony-nominated revival of the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice classic will play The Adrienne Arsht Center through June 1.

Evita charts the rise and fall of Eva Peron, the one-time charismatic and glamorous young First Lady of Argentina. With a score by Lloyd Webber and Rice, the musical features the songs “Buenos Aires,” “High Flying Adored” and “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina.”

The show stars Caroline Bowman as Eva, Josh Young as Che, Sean MacLaughlin as Juan Peron, Christopher Johnstone as Magaldi, Krystina Alabado as the Mistress and Desi Oakley as the alternate Eva.

The Tony-nominated revival is directed by Michael Grandage and features choreography by Rob Ashford, scenic and costume design by Christopher Oram and lighting design by Neil Austin.
